Animal expressions

Here are some idiomatic expressions. Can you find their meaning from the list below?


He's a wolf in sheep's clothing.

The early bird catches the worm. 

 Meanings:
 - If you want to be successful you should do something immediately.
 - Someone who seems to be good but is in fact dangerous.
 - To be unable to speak clearly.
 - Children learn by copying what they see.
 - To feel uncomfortable because you are very different from the people around you.

Cognates or False Friends

There are some words that may be confusing since they are similar in form to words we have in Spanish but their meaning is completely different. Look at the next presentation where you will find some "false friends" with illustrations.
